About Hackachusetts

Hackachusetts is a statewide AI hackathon presented by the Massachusetts AI Coalition, bringing together 1,000+ students across nine Massachusetts campuses for a day of building, collaboration, and competition.

On Saturday, October 24, students across Massachusetts will build AI-powered projects addressing real-world challenges in four tracks:

  • Biotech & Healthcare: Build for better care, new discoveries, and healthier lives.
  • Robotics & Hardware: Bring intelligence into the physical world.
  • Energy & Climate Tech: Tackle how we power our world and protect our planet.
  • Civic Action: Create tools that help communities and public services work better.

Hackers will build from 10 AM to 8 PM, after which projects will be judged and approximately 50 finalists will be selected.

Finalists will be invited to WHOOP headquarters on Sunday, October 25 from 11 AM to 2 PM to present their projects, attend the finalist brunch, and compete for prizes.

With $30,000 in prizes, Hackachusetts is an opportunity to build something ambitious, meet students across disciplines, and turn an idea into a working product in one day.

  2. Form a team or compete individually.
